A couple of days from now the OnePlus 6T with an in-display fingerprint scanner will make its official debut. The device has appeared in a series of leaks over the last few weeks, so we already have a good idea of what is in the offing. However, the Geekbench website has just confirmed a few things we already know about the upcoming smartphone.

Bearing the model number FS FS P8801, the OnePlus 6T  is set to arrive with the same Chipset found in a vast majority of Android flagships so far released in 2018 – the SD 845 which will be combined with an 8GB of RAM, even though there are rumours that it will be accompanied by a cheaper variant with 6GB of RAM.

The listing reveals the OnePlus 6T will boot Android Pie out of the box, while the performance tab reveals 2510 points and 8639 on the single and multi-core test respectively.

Following in the footsteps of some Android mid-range and flagship devices from out of China, the OnePlus 6T will ditch the super wide notch on the flagship OnePlus 6 for a water-drop notch, while the rear fingerprint scanner has also been dropped for a new optic in-display scanner.  OnePlus‘ co-founder Carl Pei in a recent chat revealed that the OnePlus 6 successor will not have the Headphone jack, and in an attempt to justify that, he explained that the decision was taken to free up space for more battery, and probably for the in-display fingerprint sensor.
